She is a TICA Charter Life Member, past President of two clubs and Board member of another.  Vickie is also a founding member of The French Connection, which for many years was TICA's largest and most active club.  She was the software key user in the design of the combined TICA-Independents entry clerking program which has been used since 1990, and the Assistant Show Manager and Entry Clerk of the very first TICA show in Paris, the "show of the decade" at the Palais de Congres.

Vickie has also served as Director of TICA's international Clerking Program.  Vickie is a past winner of the Southwest
Regional Member of the Year award.

Vickie is a Co-Founder and President of ICAT, the International Cat Agility Tournaments, www.catagility.org, an
emerging activity which this year will have events in cities in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Switzerland, France, Austria,
Germany, Hungary, Russia, Japan, Australia, and other countries where this lovely combination of athleticism and
relationships is delighting participants and spectators alike.

Vickie's educational background includes certificates in Computer Science, Herpetology, and Aquatic Biology from the California Academy of Sciences, and attended the University of California. Vickie presently works as a representative
of a media research company.

She is a member of the Enchanted Cat Club in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and has Co-Chaired and been the Program Developer for the famous CEU Fiesta, which in some years has been attended by nearly 25% of TICA's judges
worldwide.

Vickie Shields is an Approved Allbreed judge, Ring and School Instructor. She was first licensed in 1989, while living in her hometown of San Francisco, California.
 
Vickie breeds Singapuras now, and has had Maine Coons for over twenty-five years, and also worked with Oriental Shorthairs and American Wirehairs.
