CoonTICA.org.uk - Maine Coon Cat Club in the UK affiliated with TICA

Welcome to CoonTICA – the new Maine Coon Club in the UK for those showing under TICA (The International Cat Association) rules. We are affiliated to TICA (our Charter number is 618).

Our objectives are to run TICA shows. We also want to include congresses for Maine Coons to improve the chances of getting titles for your Maine Coon. (A congress is a speciality ring - judging one breed only)

Like with the GCCF it is the individual TICA clubs that put on the shows, so by forming this club we are helping to increase the number of TICA shows held in the UK.

Ideally we will run two All-breed TICA shows a year which will be two day (weekend) shows - probably 10 rings, with a congress on one of the days.

The club is open to all – you don’t have to be owned by a Maine Coon to join. We have attractive rates for the Non Maine Coon breeders which includes Maine Coon Pet owners. Members will have certain show privileges e.g. reduced show fees. For a limited period we will also be offering a Founder member option.

We plan to start an Ezine (an electronic Maine Coon magazine) which will carry stories and issues relating to the Maine Coon – we hope to give this an international feel with Maine Coon news from around the world. The Ezine will be available to all our members.

Maine Coon breeders, should they wish to, will be able to take advantage of being on our Breeder List, and also posting onto the Kitten List which will be regularly updated.

Basically we are a friendly club with the love for the Maine Coon bringing us together, so if you’re owned by a Maine Coon - or even if you’re not but just love showing with TICA - then please join and support us. Together we can bring you the shows you want.
